The idea started on a flight from Philadelphia to Dallas, where I sat, tray table extended, typing away vigorously at a brand new piece I was writing called "Airport". I was writing it for myself, just a casual story about the way airports made me feel; a way to process the otherwise overwhelming experience. In the reflection of my laptop screen, two eyes from the gentleman whom sat next to me were scanning the lines of text. A stranger with nothing better to do, looking for something to pass the time.
There's a human part in all of us that likes to peer into the lives of others. Though its hard to do from a physical standpoint, art, writing, music, videography, photography, etc. create proxies for the mind to express what would otherwise go unsaid.
So, instead of turning my screen away from wondering eyes, I tilt it toward you, in hopes that some of words I write and lines I draw make the experience worthwhile.
